I have always been a pretty self-motivated, goal-oriented person.
But I can get so driven and focused on my goals … that I forget to invite God into them.
Can you relate?
- Do your goals become more about your own pleasure, self-worth, or achievements than furthering God’s Kingdom?
- Do you plan your day based around your objectives and plans?
- Do you grow quickly and even intensely frustrated when things spring up that interrupt your plans?
- Do you try to work out your own goals out of your own strength and ideas rather than following God’s leading and wisdom? Are you frustrated because nothing seems to be working for you?
These are all descriptions of me, when I forget to dedicate my day to the Lord!
To help me remember Who should be in charge, directing my steps, I compiled a collection of Scriptures and prayers to dedicate my day.
