For Teacher Appreciation Week, I wanted to give my kids’ teachers something that would help propel them to the finish line, while also letting them know how much I appreciate everything they do. Here are the Teacher Survival Kits I put together for Teacher Appreciation gifts!

Next week (May 6-10) is Teacher Appreciation Week, and I think we can – or at least, should – agree on one thing: teachers are rockstars and deserve SO MUCH appreciation.
I’ve always tried to do something nice and meaningful for my kids’ teachers to show my gratitude, and I know they appreciate any kind gesture. Now that I’ve actually taught in the classroom (as a substitute teacher – I still don’t have nearly the amount of work and stress they do!), I’m realizing what they REALLY need is a practical gift to sustain them. 🤪
We’re in the “final leg” of the school year now, and let me tell you – everyone is feeling it! The kids are getting more squirrelly by the day, schedules are jam-packed with field trips and special events, and teachers’ batteries are draining FAST.
So, this year for Teacher Appreciation Week, I wanted to give them something that would help propel them to the finish line, while also letting them know how much I appreciate everything they do.
Teacher Survival Kits for Teacher Appreciation Gifts
The final month of school is one of the busiest and most tiring of the entire year, so for Teacher Appreciation Week this year, I wanted to give my kids’ teachers something that would help fuel them for this final leg of the marathon. Here are the “Final Leg” Survival Kits I put together for Teacher Appreciation gifts.
First, I picked up some cute, cheap gift boxes from Dollar Tree.
Then, I filled them with the following:
Protein bars – for sustenance, because teaching requires SO. MUCH. ENERGY! And I know teachers often have to fuel themselves on-the-go or between classes.
Snickers – for mood regulation, because as their slogan says, “You’re Not You When You’re Hungry.” 😉
Chocolate – for a little pick-me-up, because chocolate makes everything better.
Hot & iced coffee – for refueling, and the iced coffee pouches just need water, so they’re easy to mix up at school!
Calming Tea – for calming after rough days, because teaching these days can be so incredibly stressful.
Hand sanitizer – for a little protection, because what teacher has time to be sick??
Lifesavers – for a reminder that for many kids, they ARE a lifesaver!
Marbles – for when they’ve lost theirs 🤪🤣. This one is just for fun, to provide a little laugh.
Note of appreciation – for encouragement, because kudos and thanks are (sadly) not nearly as prevalent as complaints and hurtful words. And I want to affirm their gifts, express my thanks, and remind them of their powerful impact.

Next, I made a tag that explained each of the items and what they represented. You can get a downloadable PDF copy for yourself, if you want one!
Finally, I put it all together!

What do you think of this idea? Is it something you’d like to put together for your own kids’ teachers? I truly hope they love it and feel loved, themselves.
