My oldest son, Aidan (9-years-old), is OBSESSED with maps and geography. And he has been from an oddly young age. Whether it’s in a book, on a video, or at an event, there’s not a map in this world he won’t eagerly stop to study. Since I try to nurture my kids’ curiosities and proclivities wherever/however I can, I’m always looking for gifts that will fuel this (rather specific) interest.
While it does seem to be an unusual passion for a kid, I KNOW there are other young map enthusiasts out there! So, for those of you who know some, I’ve put together a gift guide for kids who love maps and geography.

These top my list. If you know any kids who love maps, you have to get them Brilliant Maps for Curious Kids, North American Maps for Curious Minds, and Wild Maps for Curious Minds. We LOVE these books! They’re FASCINATING!
A globe
Every kid (map-lover or not) should have a globe!
There are SO many fun atlases for kids out there (and we have a lot of them!), but some of our favorites are:

Geography Game
We have The World Game, and it’s one of our family’s FAVORITE board games! I highly recommend it. Some other geography games include:
