Mom life is crazy busy, with children to tend, homes to keep, and jobs to work. Not to mention taking care of ourselves on top of that! So, it can be hard to make time for growth and development through reading. (Though, here’s how I manage to read a couple of books a week, if you’re interested!)
Enter… podcasts! If you haven’t already plunged into the wonderful world of podcasts, I highly recommend it. You can find podcasts on just about any subject or interest area, and they’re great for moms on the go. I listen while I get ready, while I drive, while I do household chores, etc. It’s a great way to consume edifying (or just plain entertaining) content while doing other things.
And there are a LOT of terrific podcasts out there for moms. I listen to several every week! Because I live and parent from a Biblical worldview, most of the podcasts I listen to for motherhood and parenting reflect that. If that is something you want, as well, check out my list below of my favorite podcasts for Christian moms.

Raising Boys & Girls
In each episode of this podcast, hosts Sissy Goff, David Thomas, and Melissa Trevathan share some of what they’re learning in the work they do with kids and families on a daily basis at Daystar Counseling Ministries. Their goal is to help you care for the kids in your life with a little more understanding, a little more practical help, and a whole lot of hope.
My note: This is hands-down my favorite parenting-specific podcast. David and Sissy are the best – I love learning from them! Side note: I’ve been telling everyone I know about David’s most recent book, Raising Emotionally Strong Boys. It’s been ENORMOUSLY helpful for us!

Raising Cross Formed Kids
Raising Cross Formed Kids is a collaboration between two parents, Ryan Coatney and Phylicia Masonheimer, in the thick of raising kids. Their passion is to equip parents to become the primary disciple-makers in the lives of their kids. After all, raising Christian kids is always a miracle, but it’s never an accident.
My note: Phylicia also has her own podcast, Verity, which is another favorite of mine!
She Works His Way Podcast
Hosted by SWHW co-founders and best friends, Michelle Myers and Somer Phoebus, SWHW Podcast is a discipleship outreach that exists to help women find purpose in their God-given work through the gospel. In each episode you’ll be invited into a conversation about how to navigate the tension between what God says and what culture wants you to believe.
My note: Though not specifically for moms, this podcast speaks to SOOO many issues we experience and wrestle with on a regular basis in all our areas of work.
Also, their book, She Works His Way, was one of my favorite reads in 2022! It’s absolutely FANTASTIC.

TDG Podcast invites women to join them in their conversation about our great God, and encourages them to seek a deeper knowledge of God that leads them to live their lives for God’s glory as they grow in love and awe in response to who He is.
My note: This podcast covers a host of topics apart from motherhood, but it touches on it in many episodes. And its overall focus on applying the gospel to every area of our lives makes it a great podcast for Christian moms.

Mama Bear Apologetics
Mama Bear Apologetics is a podcast for mothers of biological, adopted, or spiritual children who want to learn about how to defend the Christian faith, help give their children reasons for faith, and understand the worldviews that challenge Christian faith in the first place.
My note: I’m not always 100% on board with the podcast (it’s not always as grace-filled as I would like to see), but I thought their book, Mama Bear Apologetics, was great. It’s on my list of favorite reads from 2021.
Mom to Mom Podcast
Hosts Kate Battistelli, September McCarthy, Jamie Erickson are three generations of moms who have experienced nearly every season of motherhood. While they don’t have all the answers, you can be sure they will always point you to the One who does.
My note: September’s book, Why Motherhood Matters, is often touted as one of the best books for motherhood!
At Home With Sally
Home is the place where the whispers of God’s love are heard regularly, the touch of His hands is given intentionally throughout the day, the words of His encouragement and affirmation pointed to lay the foundation of loving relationships where a woman conducts the beauty of this life within its walls. Through this podcast, host Sally Clarkson hopes you will find inspiration to cultivate such a life.
My note: I’m sure I don’t have to tell you how amazing Sally is. She has SO many books out there, and all of them (that I’ve read, anyway) are fantastic. I’d recommend reading anything she puts out. A couple of my favorites are The Lifegiving Parent, which she wrote with her husband, Clay, and The Mission of Motherhood.
Moms in Prayer Podcast

Crystal’s desire is that you come away from listening to each episode feeling motivated to bloom where you are planted and take intentional steps to move in the direction you are longing to go.
My note: Though another podcast that isn’t about motherhood/parenting, specifically, episodes often speak to family matters. Crystal’s show has deeply impacted, encouraged, and equipped me in my mothering on MANY occasions.
Also, her book Love Centered-Parenting was one of my favorite reads in 2021 AND is on my list of favorite parenting books.
