Quick & Easy Fruit Sauce for Desserts
What You’ll Need
- Saucepan
- Potato masher (not required, but recommended!)
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh or frozen fruit (strawberries, mixed berries, peaches, cherries…)
- ⅓ cup sugar
Directions
- Combine fruit and sugar in a small saucepan.
- On LOW heat, cook until softened, stirring occasionally. If using frozen fruit, this should take about 10 minutes (fresh takes longer).
- Once they’ve softened, simmer on medium heat for about 2 minutes while stirring constantly and mashing (a potato masher works great for this).
- Serve warm or let cool and serve with the dessert of your choice.
Store in the fridge for up to one week, or freeze for later!
How to Use Your Fruit Sauce
