I’ve got my meal planning game down to a science now for dinners, but one of the hardest parts of feeding my kiddos is coming up with a variety of healthy snacks!

If your kids are like mine, they probably ask for a little somethin’ between meals. (Maybe even more than once, right?)
And when I satisfy their rumbling tummies, I also want to nourish their growing bodies.
That’s why I reach for one of these healthy snacks. They love them, I love them — it’s a win-win!

- Energy Balls (also called energy bites)
- Apple “cookies” — slice a cored apple (here’s the corer I use) horizontally, spread peanut butter, and top with raisins, chocolate chips, chopped nuts, coconut, or any other kind of topping you want
- Ants on a log — celery spread with peanut butter and topped with raisins
- Whole grain muffins — I HIGHLY recommend these magical muffin pans!
- Trail mix — cheaper (and most likely healthier) if you make it yourself by tossing together whatever you have on hand: nuts, dried fruit, dark chocolate bits, etc.
- Smoothies
- 3-ingredient popsicles — popsicle molds like this one are a great summer investment!
- Veggies with hummus
- Air-popped popcorn
- Natural fruit leathers — you can buy them or make your own!
- Whole wheat pretzels
- Homemade granola — here is my FAVORITE super easy granola recipe that uses all real ingredients!
- Homemade “Larabars”
- Fresh fruits & veggies — if your kids are a bit resistant, try cutting them into sticks, creating fun shapes, or making fruit kabobs – for some reason that makes it 10x more fun!

- Banana oat cookies
- Plain whole-fat yogurt — sweetened with a bit of honey (add homemade granola and fruit for a parfait!)
