Moms can be hard to shop for — probably because they spend so much time thinking about what they’re getting for everyone else they can’t come up with ideas for themselves!
So, if you’re at a loss for what to get the moms you know, let this list of gifts for moms help you!
(I’ll admit, many of these are things I personally love or would love to get, but I tried to include a wide variety of ideas for all the moms on your list!)
25 Great Gifts for Moms
Books for moms
Help her grow personally, professionally, or spiritually with a great book. If you need some recommendations, check out any of my “Book Talk” posts.
And, of course, I recommend getting her my 30-day joyful motherhood challenge, Love the Ones You’re With,
Gift Cards For Books
Or, if she’s an avid reader, she might actually prefer a gift card to pick out her own books. (Because browsing and shopping for books is half the fun!) Bonus — that’s easier for you, anyway!
Graphic t-shirts are a staple in a mom’s wardrobe, and there are so many great ones to choose from! You can find several in The Merry Momma Tees Amazon shop, or I also LOVE the fun things I can find on Jane.com.
Clothes & Accessories
Jane.com is one of my new favorite sources for great deals on super cute clothes and accessories, so I highly recommend looking there!
Or give her a gift card so she can get something she really loves… from the ease and comfort of her own home!
Devotional for Moms
Every mom needs to pour into herself spiritually, and a great devotional for moms can be just the thing to form that habit.

Here’s a non-“thing” gift idea: hire someone to clean her house for her! Get her a one-time, monthly, or even year’s worth of house cleaning services.
I can’t think of a mom who isn’t in dire need of some TLC, and we rarely indulge in it ourselves. That’s why a spa day or massage is a perfect gift for moms!
Or, if that’s not an option, get her a handheld massager she can use at home! It’s the next best thing!
When you have kids, date nights are hard to come by. A gift card to a beloved restaurant would be much appreciated! (Don’t forget to offer or arrange for babysitting!)
If you really want to blow her away, get her a voucher for an entire night (or weekend!) away and arrange for someone to watch the kids.
Another great idea for the cook in your life is a USA pan (or two or three…). These non-stick pans make clean-up 1000 times easier, and what busy mom doesn’t want that??
Time for herself
What’s on almost every mom’s wish list? A little time to (and for) herself. Make it happen for her! Pay for babysitting, book her a motel room, get her a gift card for her favorite hobbies, etc…. get creative!
Roomba or Stick Vacuum
Granted, not every woman would be thrilled to receive a vacuum for Christmas, so PROCEED WITH CAUTION. You definitely want to know your audience with this one!
Something for Her Dreams
When you’re a mom, it can be incredibly difficult to also pursue other passions. Get creative and think of something that will help her achieve her goals and pursue her dreams. (Books, courses, tools, etc.)
Gift certificate for family photos
My sister gave us this gift for Christmas last year, and I thought it was genius!
Meal Planning Service Subscription
If the mom on your mind has a packed schedule, doesn’t like to cook, or just plain stresses over meals, perhaps she would enjoy a subscription to a meal planning service.
As a SAHM, I spend a lot of time performing various tasks around the house, and I like to listen to podcasts or audiobooks while I do it. However… it’s sometimes hard to hear over the ruckus (and not everything I listen to is suitable for little ears). Wireless earbuds to the rescue!
Make her something special from pictures of her kids — she’ll love it and treasure it forever! Shutterfly has TONS of beautiful and affordable options for this.
Cozy things — There’s nothing better at the end of a long hard day with the kids (or at work) than snuggling up on the couch and getting comfy. Help her make her perfect cozy oasis! Ideas: heated blanket, slippers, sweaters, diffusers, candles, etc.
Gift Card for Her Favorite Places
Get her a gift card, certificate, or voucher for some of her favorite places: clothing stores, coffee shops, sporting events, art classes, cooking demonstrations, etc.
Most of the moms I know run on coffee, so a coffee-themed gift would likely be much appreciated. Ideas: a new (and improved) coffee maker, a coffee grinder, fun coffee mugs, a coffee bar set-up, and of course… coffee!
There are several different ways you can go with this one: movies, plays, sporting events, concerts…
Something for Her Hobbies
Does she like to cook? A new small appliance, gadget, or cookbook. Does she like to work out? Cute activewear. Does she like to craft? Supplies. Does she like to take pictures? A photography course. Does she like to write? A writing journal.
