I hesitate to put this post out there because I do NOT want to eclipse Thanksgiving or what it’s all about. But I also know that for many of us (myself included!), this is a great week to get the most bang for our buck for Christmas gifts. And that’s important to me, as it helps me be more generous to others while also providing well for my own family.
That being said, I wanted to give you a few of the big Black Friday Deals I think you should be watching for. These are all things I either own myself, have heard recommended from trusted friends, or wouldn’t mind putting on my own Christmas list. 😉
I’m also going to let you in on a few money-saving tips I’ve picked up and ways to get a little money back from your purchases.
Finally, I have a couple Black Friday deals of my own I want to let you know about, so I’ll be sharing those with you, too!
It’s going to be a fun post — let’s begin!
Black Friday Deals on Amazon to Watch For
Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer
I use my KitchenAid stand mixer for so many things — baking, shredding chicken, making dough, etc. We even use it with our ice cream maker, which we love!
These stand mixers can be quite pricey, so if you’ve ever thought about it, now is the time!
Either way you go, Black Friday Week is the perfect time to get it!
I love, love, love my Roomba (this isn’t my exact model, which I can no longer find on Amazon). Mine, unfortunately, is starting to wear out a bit, but I told my husband, “Even if I have to replace it every couple of years, I consider it worth it!”
You had to know this was coming. You all know I have an insane love for my Instant Pot. (And if you want to know why, you can read this post. Or, if you have one and haven’t had great success, you need to read my most recent post!)
Black Friday week is the time to get them! Every year, they have an amazing deal on at least a couple of the models. (Don’t know which one to go with? I give some suggestions in this post.)
At the time I’m writing this post, Amazon is offering a great deal on the bread machine I have — an Oster Expressbake 2-lb capacity. It’s only the second bread machine I’ve ever owned, but it’s lasted me 7 years so far and seen me through a LOT of bread, buns, rolls, pizza dough, etc.
Fire HD Kids Edition Tablets
I’ll admit, we don’t own any of these yet, but I have several friends who do and love them. And Black Friday week is a great time to get them at a seriously discounted price.
If you’re in the market for a regular vacuum cleaner, I recommend Dyson. It’s well worth the extra money. And depending on when you’re reading this post, there’s a good chance you can snag one for $100-$200 off!
I myself am seriously looking at the cordless stick vacuums, which they’re having super sales on right now! I think one of these vacuums would help me so much with daily spot cleaning around the boys’ chairs after meals.
I don’t usually promote or buy a lot of toys, but I do make a few exceptions — most notably, building toys. I know building toy sets have like a million pieces, which can drive a momma crazy, but they’re sooooo good for building kids’ imaginations, creativity, and logic skills. Plus, if you get a couple bins or tubs to toss them into when they’re done playing, clean-up really isn’t that bad.

Here are some of our favorites:
- Magformers — these magnet tiles always go on sale around Black Friday
- However, you may want to consider cheaper brands. You can get way more tiles for the same price, and some of them are just as strong. I’ve heard great things about this brand, and we’re getting some for Aidan this year for Christmas!
- LEGOS — a classic!
- Wooden blocks from Melissa & Doug
3 Ways to Save Even More
I use three different apps/sites to get cash back from my online purchases. Between the three, I can usually find something from most major retailers. Which one I go with depends on the store and what I’m shopping for, and I shop around each time I’m going to make a purchase.
This was the first cashback site I started using, and it’s still a trusted favorite. It’s even better when I can catch Double Cash back opportunities, which they’re doing right now! (At the time of writing this post.)
I’ve used ebates for a long time, but have mostly switched over to Swagbucks in the last year or so. Again, it all depends on who has the better deal, but I found I was getting better deals on Swagbucks the majority of the time, especially on Amazon purchases.
Swagbucks is a little different than ebates in that you earn points, rather than cash, which you can then redeem for various gift cards. But there is quite a variety of possible gift cards you can get, including Paypal (basically cash) and Amazon (umm, almost as good as cash! Ha!).
Another reason I love Swagbucks is that I can earn points for a lot more besides shopping, including watching videos, taking surveys, and performing regular web searches!
Click here to learn more and get a 300SB bonus when you earn your first 300 points! (Which, with all this Black Friday shopping, shouldn’t take long.)
I’ve been a big fan of Ibotta for a while. I recently shared on Facebook and in my email newsletter how I’m buying over $100 worth of Christmas presents with money I earned by buying groceries. And it’s thanks to Ibotta!
But I recently discovered that now you can earn cash back through select mobile retailers, as well, including… wait for it… AMAZON! How awesome is that?
I earned 5% cash back AND got a $5 bonus the other day on a set of plates I was buying Andrew for Christmas (that I was already using part of a Swagbucks gift card to purchase anyway)!
The offers don’t apply to every category on Amazon, and you have to read the exclusions carefully, but if you can find something you were going to buy anyway, it’s another great way to get some cash back!
