It’s the end of August already, and that means another round of Fabulous Finds! I’ve really been having fun combing the blogosphere for this series, and I hope you’re enjoying the treasures I find!
August Fabulous Finds
- Recipe: Killer Marinated Tomatoes @ Butter Yum
- Homemaking: 9 Unique Uses for Magic Erasers @ Organization Junkie
Who doesn’t like tips to make cleaning the house a little easier?? I have long been a fan of Magic Erasers (seriously, is there anything they can’t get out?), but this list gave me some brand new ideas for how to use them!

- Kids: How to Include (Young) Kids in the Kitchen @ Tiny Tummy Tales
I was not brought up in the kitchen, other than egg dyes at Easter and cookies at Christmas. My mother-in-law is a retired home ec teacher, so my husband definitely was! It was important to him that I teach our kids how to cook and include them in my kitchen work, so I’m learning how to do that AND maintain my sanity. 🙂 This was a very helpful post for me as I begin to cook with my toddler. And I must say, #2 was genius!!!
- Finance: 10 Things Your Kids Need to See You Do With Money @ The Smart & Frugal Path
For being in our mid (okay, okay … late) twenties, I think my husband and I have pretty solid money sense, and we place high importance on being good stewards of our finances. We really desire to pass on good habits to our children and teach them how to manage their resources well. This was a really helpful list of practical ways to do that.
- Encouragement: Placing Our Children’s Future in God’s Hands @ Life in Lape Haven
This post came from my friend Kishona at Life at Lape Haven, and I just loved it. It does seem like the world is just going nuts these days, and it’s so easy as moms to fear for our children’s future. But Kishona reminds us that God is not surprised or worried for them. He knew exactly when they would be born, and created them for such a time as this. This post will be wonderful encouragement to you if you’ve ever feared over your children’s wellbeing in today’s society.
