I don’t know about you, but July seems like it’s flying by for me. I can’t believe it’s already time for another Fabulous Finds!
In today’s post, discover new helpful tips, a delicious recipe, and an important way to strengthen your marriage!
July’s Fabulous Finds
- How to Keep the Toys From Taking Over – from White House Black Shutters
If you struggle with toys taking over your living space (and if you have little ones, I’m guessing you do!), then you will want to take a look at this article.
Ann Marie from White House Black Shutters has 4 kids under 5, but her house looks amazingly put together! Unfortunately, we don’t have a basement or good storage room like she does, but I still got some great ideas from her post! I especially loved how she used pretty baskets and bins to make the toy storage fit into her decor. Be sure to read all the way to the end, too, to catch her “Don’t Go Crazy” tips. It’s great advice!
- You Are Not Your Husband’s Holy Spirit – from Equipping Godly Women
I shared this on The Merry Momma Facebook page, but I loved it so much I thought it was worth another mention. If you’re married, there are undoubtedly things you wish you could change about your spouse. Some of these things are pretty minor, but there can also be significant issues that put strain on your marriage. When this happens, it’s important to remember the five things Brittany discusses in this article. They basically boil down to her main point: “There is a Holy Spirit – and you’re not him!” My favorite point is #4!

- 25 Easy Activities to Entertain Kids – from Inspire Authentic Moms
As I mentioned when I shared this post on Facebook, it’s canning season for me at home. Which means I need to keep Aidan occupied a little more than usual right now. I don’t like to just plop him down in front of the TV every time I need to entertain him (though I’m not opposed to pulling it out of my stash of methods every once in awhile!), so I always appreciate finding ideas that are electronics-free! Some lists I find are just too complicated or messy for me to realistically try, but this list had some nice, simple ideas even I could pull off!
- Cheesy Italian Sausage and Pepper Sandwiches – from Good Cheap Eats
I’m about a month and a half out from having Baby #2, and I’ve been slowly but surely filling our freezer with meals for his arrival. I loved that this was something different than my usual casseroles, meats, or slow cooker meals. I’ve never done freezer sandwiches before, and I think we’ll really appreciate them as a change of pace from my other freezer meals. I haven’t tried one completely assembled and heated through yet, but they sure looked and smelled delicious as I was preparing them!

- 10 Habits That Organized and Efficient People Have – from The Intentional Mom
As I’ve added blogging to my schedule and as I anticipate the arrival of our second child, it’s become more important than ever that I learn how to be more organized and efficient. I have recently incorporated several of these habits into my own life, and they have kept me sane during one of the busiest seasons of my life! I am naturally a very scatterbrained person, so the fact that I’m actually doing a better job of spinning all my plates as I add more is a testament to how well these habits really do work!
