- Restaurant Kit for Eating Out With Little Ones
I’ve come across a few blog posts about how to navigate the restaurant game with little ones, but I hadn’t ever seen one as organized as this one from Angela at Blue i Style! I love that everything is contained in one bag and that I can keep it packed but separate from the regular diaper bag. That way I only have to remember to throw in one thing – the kit – and I don’t have to worry about forgetting anything!
She recently posted an updated version now that her kids are a little older. If your kids are preschool age, you’ll want to check that one out, too!
- Quick & Easy Chicken and Avocado Burritos
These burritos are aptly named – they were SOOO quick & super simple! Especially since I already had the cooked chicken from a previous night’s dinner. Not only were they very quick to make and use ingredients I often have on hand, but they’re a healthy dinner choice AND … best of all …. they were a HUGE hit with my hubby! He couldn’t stop talking about them and told me, “You can make these again anytime!” Win, win, win, win! - Why Homemaking Matters
I’ll be honest with you – making my home a priority is a relatively new thing for me. For the first few years of our marriage, I was a rather sorry homemaker. I didn’t enjoy it, and it frustrated me that I put all that work into it only to see it destroyed in a matter of hours. So I didn’t really bother maintaining all that much. I have since taken a very different view of the importance of creating a pleasant home environment, and it has made a big difference in my mood, our marriage, and the atmosphere of our home.

- Buying Healthy Food on a Budget
I am a huge fan of Jessica Fisher, who runs both the Good Cheap Eats and Life as Mom blogs. If you’re not already familiar with her blogs, you should definitely check her out ASAP! I also have her Not Your Mother’s Make-Ahead and Freeze Cookbook and LOVE it! If you’ve been wanting to try your hand at freezer cooking, or if you’ve been doing it for awhile but want to make your process more efficient, you must get this book!
Anyway, this particular post that I ran across a few days ago is full of tips on how to buy healthy food and ingredients when you’re on a tight budget. My favorite strategy is the first one. It’s a strategy I follow almost every single time I shop, and it has made a huge difference in our grocery bills!
